Allrighty, here is the infamous Buddha painting that I have been working on. I have shown some my initial sketch of the happy buddha, and just in case you missed it, here it is again...



I'm actually doing the painting on the 5 x 4 foot canvas that I mentioned in an earlier blog, so it's kinda large. It will include two large poppies on either side of the floating buddha. I sketched in the actual composition on the canvas with chalk, I think you can somewhat make it out in the photo. I was happy with the coloring of the background. I forced my self to let go with it, my attempt was to make it look old, like old heavily stained parchment or canvas, hey, I like it! Anyway, as you can see I haven't had much time to work on it, seeing that I started this a few months ago. But I think you can see from my drawing class that I have been doing something :)
